The Adventures of Pete & Pete

Today, I'm gonna talk about a rather interesting show called "The Adventures of Pete & Pete" which aired on Nickelodeon in the early to mid 90's. The show was about two brothers, Pete, and his younger brother Pete, and their adventures through life. They acted the way brothers would act, except sometimes to an extreme. For example, in one episode, the parents go away on a camping trip for a weekend leaving Pete and Pete in charge of the house. Little Pete immediately begins constructing a race that goes around the house 500 times. When Big Pete abandons his brother for a girl, Young Pete sells the house. Oh, and their mom has a plate in her head that usually is included as a plot point in each episode she's in.

Stuff like that was always entertaining and relatable (somewhat) as a kid and the show was also pretty well known for having a really good soundtrack.

THIS BLARG

Heya...

To start out with, I'm gonna dedicate this blog (for as long as I'm able to stay on track) to NOSTALGIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...

I've decided to claim the last week in March as Nostalgia Week due to me watching things from my childhood.

This blog will discuss things such as toys, TV shows, movies, and videogames from early to mid 90's (my childhood).

First up:

One of my absolute favorite TV shows of all time ever, called "The Secret World of Alex Mack"

The show's all about a middle school girl named Alex Mack who gets involved in an accident with a delivery truck carrying a new top secret chemical called GC-161 which came from the chemical plant where her father works. The chemical changed Alex, giving her telepathy, the ability to morph into a silver living puddle, and the ability to "zap" things with her fingers.

To a kid like me, this show was enticing. I'd do whatever was necessary to watch it. Why did I like it so much? It's a story about a kid who's a loner and always is picked on who suddenly gets powers. It's like every kid's dream!
